In 1985 Mary Ellen Weaver-Moschetti cofounded Data Processing Corporation (DPRC), an information technology staffing company located in Newport Beach, California. In 1994 she bought her colleague’s portion of the company for a public offering. During Weaver-Moschetti’s tenure, the company was named one of the fastest growing companies in the information technology sector and the largest company in Orange County, California, with a female chairman. Weaver-Moschetti has been featured in Business Week magazine, named the 1998 Pioneer Woman of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners and recognized by the Orange County Business Journal for their Women in Business Awards and as one of the 50 most influential business people in the county. Prior to her staffing career, Weaver-Moschetti was a speech and language pathologist for Battle Creek Public Schools. She retired in 2000 and spends her time volunteering for the local school district and various activities her children are involved with.
