We were always allowed and encouraged to be ourselves. Community involvement was almost a requirement, but we participated because our leaders demonstrated the importance of volunteering every time we were with them. I LOVED 4-H and would encourage everyone to join in!
In 1985 Mary Ellen Weaver-Moschetti cofounded Data Processing Corporation (DPRC), an information technology staffing company located in Newport Beach, California. In 1994 she bought her colleagues portion of the company for a public offering. During Weaver-Moschettis tenure, the company was named one of the fastest growing companies in the information technology sector and the largest company in Orange County, California, with a female chairman. Weaver-Moschetti has been featured in Business Week magazine, named the 1998 Pioneer Woman of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners and recognized by the Orange County Business Journal for their Women in Business Awards and as one of the 50 most influential business people in the county. Prior to her staffing career, Weaver-Moschetti was a speech and language pathologist for Battle Creek Public Schools. She retired in 2000 and spends her time volunteering for the local school district and various activities her children are involved with.
Because of 4-H I have learned how to use animal science to expand my heard. This knowledge has helped me continue being a 4th generation to show and raise cattle in my family.
