Marilyn G. Frahm retired in 1997 with emeritus status after serving for 21 years at Saginaw Valley State University, 16 as director of information services. A noted female communications executive, she has been listed with Who’s Who in Advertising, Who’s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who Among Female Executives. Frahm is a charter member of the Frankenmuth American Association of University Women, where she has held several offices. She is a charter member of the Michigan Farm Bureau Women’s Speakers Bureau and a past board member of the Advertising Federation of Saginaw Valley. She was also a member of the Saginaw Valley Press Club. A well-known community leader, Frahm served as deputy clerk for Blumfield Township from 1984 to 2005. She advocates for agriculture and women’s rights and was very instrumental in establishing an academic track in the local schools. She has been a 4-H volunteer for more than 21 years, serving as both organizational and project leader. She is past president of the Frankenmuth PTA and was a member of the Zonta Club of Saginaw.
