Deadline for nominations: March 15, 2026
Membership
Membership in the Emerald Clover Society is bestowed upon former Michigan 4-H youth members with significant professional achievements and/or service to their communities and society.
Membership in this society is by nomination and review committee selection only. The selection committee includes state and county 4-H volunteers and staff members, Michigan 4-H Foundation trustees and current Emerald Clover Society members.

Nominees must be living.
Emerald Clover Society nominations are accepted every two years. The inaugural class of the society was inducted in 2002, the national 4-H centennial year and the 50th anniversary of the Michigan 4-H Foundation. Subsequent Emerald Clover Society induction years include 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2022. Recognition was not provided in 2020 due to the pandemic.
More in this Section
4-H started with dogs but has transformed into something much more. I can be an active member in group projects and I have become a better person altogether. I am so grateful to have had a 4-H experience that impacted me so much. I don’t know what my life would be without the wonderful opportunity of 4-H.
