/ Salute to Exc / Patricia L. Macha
Macha has served the past two years as the administrative leader of the Double C 4-H Club and for the past six years has led the Gratiot County 4-H Teen State Exchange club, an out-of-state 4-H exchange club. Additionally, she chairs both the Gratiot County 4-H Leaders’ Council and the county’s Education Committee. She has served on the state 4-H Visual Arts and Crafts Committee and frequently is an instructor at state 4-H events, including Kettunen Center workshops and 4-H Exploration Days. She was instrumental in launching Gratiot County’s Leader Mete, an event with informative 4-H sessions and club officer training for volunteers and teens.
Through 4-H I have learned so many things that can help me build my confidence. I went from feeling insecure about my disability to being able to tell other kids who have dyslexia that even if it is difficult, you shouldn\'t feel embarrassed about it. Since joining 4-H I can share my experience with dyslexia and help people understand the disability.
