In summer 2023, the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens will celebrate 30 years of existence. As we mark this occasion, the Michigan 4-H Foundation is reflecting on the origins of the first garden.

In the late winter 2022 JOANN campaign, Michigan ranked first in the nation, raising $80,825 through 41 Michigan stores.

Three recipients received the 2022 4-H Excellence in Agriculture Award. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of Michigan 4-H volunteers exhibit excellence in 4-H youth education and leadership development.

With a deep fondness for the 4-H program in his community, Daniel Lumm, of Waterford, made a special gift to support Oakland County 4-H in 2022.

Wayne County 4-H member Terrell Jordan, of Detroit, was elected to the Michigan 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees in February.
