Geraldine L. Eadie

County: Muskegon
Class Years: 2008-09

“I could talk about the team that represented Michigan in dairy Quiz Bowl; about the 4-H members who are physicians, farmers and veterinarians now. I could talk about the champions every year, but it’s watching the learning and the growing in confidence and self-worth that is the most important reward possible to gain.”

Geraldine Eadie has been a Muskegon county 4-H volunteer of the Ravenna Livestock 4-H Club for 35 years and received the second annual Michigan Farm Bureau 4-H Excellence in Agriculture Award. Under her leadership, the Ravenna Livestock 4-H Club annually assembles fruit baskets t deliver to nursing homes. Geraldine also leads the Muskegon County Farm Bureau’s six-week after-school agricultural education program which delivers interactive, hands-on lessons about agricultural food products, plants, soils, trees and livestock.

Through 4-H, I have become the person I am today. Not only has it made me who I am, but has given me lifelong friendships and leaders to look up to. 4-H and everyone I have met through 4-H has fostered my passion for animals and led me to the path I am considering for my future.
