Friends of the Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden
The Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden and its programs are made possible by private donations to the Michigan 4-H Foundation.
The garden first opened in 1993 on the campus of Michigan State University. We have come a long way and have touched hundreds of thousands of lives. Your support over the years has made a difference in the lives of kids of all ages. One thing that hasn’t changed – we need your continued support. We invite you to support the gardens to insure their beauty and provide fun learning experiences for kids – experiences that encourage them to let their imaginations grow.
Help us Grow!
With a gift of at least $100 a year, you can become a friend of the Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden. Your gift will build on the legacy that the garden has already become through outstanding gardens and creative learning opportunities.
Friends of the Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden are invited to an annual event in the gardens and receive a newsletter.
Because the Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden is supported by the Michigan 4-H Foundation, your gift will also be recognized according to giving level through the foundation’s Clover Citation Program.
Sponsor a Brick
Bricks can be donated in your name; in honor of a family, friend or club; or in memory of loved ones and are placed in the courtyard of your choice. They are then placed in Demonstration Plaza in the Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden (at Michigan State University).
Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Memorial and tribute gifts are charitable contributions that support the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens and at the same time honor friends and family members.
- Memorial gifts make a lasting tribute to the memory of family members and friends.
- Tribute gifts recognize the contributions and talents of living persons or celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, graduation or anniversary.
Major Gifts
Major gifts to the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens support the future of the gardens and its learning opportunities. Major gifts to the Michigan 4-H Foundation are also recognized by Michigan State University major gift clubs.
- Grow the Gardens Education Fund or the Gardens Renewal Fund.
- Create a named endowment.
- Sponsor a garden theme area or program.
- Develop a garden educational programs, including technology-delivered curriculum and programs.
- Leave a legacy/estate gift for the gardens
